Let’s face it, we all have days when we start the day off doing stuff around the house and the next thing you know…it’s 4 pm and your still in your pajamas and so are your kids!!  In fact, I am having one of those days today.   So when is the pajama point of no return? Is it at noon? Or is it later in the day, say around 4 pm?   What is the pajama point of no return you ask?  Well, the pajama point of no return is when you get to that part of the day and you are still in your pajamas and you realize why get dressed because I am just going to be back in my pajamas soon 🙂

It’s summer time so why not have a pajama day with your kids.   Take the day off and everyone stay in their pajamas all day 🙂  Build forts with your kids, play board games, cook together, or make a scavenger hunt for your kids.   Whatever your family enjoys doing, make it a family pajama day.   Or maybe be adventurous and try something new as a family.  Maybe have a Lego building contest.  Just enjoy the day together 🙂  Kids grow up so fast and believe it or not they will remember the little things the most:)  Not how much money you spent on them but how much time you spent with them.  That is what matters in life.

Don’t have fun pajamas for your family pajama day…My Baby Pajamas has a great selection of kids pajamas and adult pajamas on SALE NOW!

Life changes dramatically with the birth of a child. Suddenly you’re thrust into a world of gadgets and clothes that you’ve never had experience with before. Even simple things like a baby sleeper can be a bit of an enigma to a new parent.

Add to that the challenges of raising an active boy and finding boys pajamas that work. You definitely have your work cut out for you.

A one piece footed baby sleeper with easy open snaps is the staple of an infant’s wardrobe. However, as your son grows and becomes more active, some boys pajamas may become increasingly restrictive.

Infants begin to crawl anywhere from five to ten months old, on average. A one piece baby sleeper may no longer be appropriate once your son becomes mobile. The more active he is, the more difficult it may be to keep him in one for extended periods.

Infants under one year old, however, still need to be dressed carefully and deliberately. Finding boys pajamas that meet the needs of an infant while still accommodating the demands of little boys can be challenging.

Choosing the right boys pajamas is challenging, so start by keeping these tips in mind:

* Look for snug-fitting (but not tight) boys pajamas: Older infants need a baby sleeper that are not restrictive. Freedom of movement is critical to a child’s proper growth and development.

Infants roll, kick, flail and thrust their arms and legs constantly (even in their sleep.) Restricting this movement can actually hamper their proper growth and muscle development and coordination.

On the other hand, a baby sleeper should not be too loose either. This applies especially to sleepwear.

Loose garments can become entangled in bedding, crib bars/mattresses and even in baby’s own hands or feet. Too-loose clothing is also a fire hazard, and can be a death trap for an infant who is incapable of protecting himself.

Keeping in mind that boys are particularly active, choose boys pajamas that allow for movement but have no “dangling” parts. Stretchy fabrics are ideal because they can fit snugly but still have a lot of “give.”

Here’s a good rule of thumb: your child should be able to fully extend his arms and legs with ease. If you aren’t sure, just try on the garment and gently pull his leg out into a fully-extended position. (Point his toes if the outfit is a one-piece.)

If it’s difficult to achieve full extension, then the outfit is too small/tight. The baby sleeper should “give” without bunching or tightening in any location.

* Purchase a flame-resistant baby sleeper: A significant number of children’s nightwear on the market is treated with flame-resistant clothing. This isn’t always a given, though. Be sure to read the labels carefully on a baby sleeper to be sure.

Again, this is important because infants are unable to escape their cribs in the event of a fire. Built-in flame-resistance allows a few precious extra minutes for help to reach them before flames can do damage.

* Expect a lot of wear and tear on boys pajamas: Infants in general are active. Little boys can be downright crazy when it comes to activity level. Choose boys pajamas that are sturdy. Check seams, especially, to make sure that they are intact and tightly stitched.

* Make sure the fabric is breathable: Cotton and cotton blends (where cotton makes up the majority of the content) are best for little ones. Cotton is suitable for every season and is breathable enough to keep baby from overheating.

It is also among the softest of fabrics that you can purchase. Softness equals comfort, something that is extremely important to an infant.

Comfort is even more important when you are teaching your baby to sleep by himself. A comfortable baby sleeper helps him to feel safe and secure even when you are not in the same bed or room with him.

Life with little boys is always full of adventure and excitement. Make sure that he’s ready for all of the adventures of growing up by starting with the right pair of boys pajamas. Even simple things like baby sleeper make growing up memorable.

I love to blog but am not much of a writer per say. I am a avid runner and love to compete in races. I like my yoga HOT and love to hike with my family and our pit bull mix dog, Chance. My favorite time is hanging with my family and cooking homemade dinners and hearing about everyone's day while my husband and I enjoy a glass of wine.
